Teachers College Career Services (TCCS) is committed to guiding all TC students and alumni throughout the different phases of the career development process. Whether you are entering a new field, advancing within your current profession, or changing directions, we will help you identify and develop the skills and resources needed to achieve your career goals.

TCCS Employer Relations:

The employers connect to highly talented TC students and alumni in the fields of education, psychology, health and international educational development. Services Offered

TCCS can assist you with your career development throughout the duration of your time at Teachers College and when you become an alumnus.  Start you career development  journey today.  Schedule an hour long career counseling appointment to help you make informed decisions about your career goals: take an assessment test, learn job search tips, and schedule a mock session for interview preparation.   Have your resume, cover letter, and curriculum vita (CV) reviewed electronically or come in for a 15 minute walk-in.

TCCS Programs & Events

Throughout the fall and spring semester, attend a workshop to learn how to write a resume and to negotiate your salary. Attend an employer information session to learn more about an organization you are interested in pursuing. Come to a panel to hear from TC Alumni who are teachers working outside of the classroom or who have advanced their education by getting a doctorate degree.

The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) connects campus recruiting and career services professionals, and provides best practices, trends, research, professional development, and conferences. Fall Career Fair

CCE's Fall Career Fair includes organizations from many industries, including finance, consulting, consumer goods, media, marketing, advertising, and more! This exclusive event -'" open only to Columbia students and alumni -'" offers exciting opportunities for students pursuing internships, alumni pursuing full-time careers, and everything in between.These employers are looking for Columbia students; get out there and present yourself!

This networking event is a great opportunity to market your organization to current students and graduates from our Social-Organizational Psychology program. Graduates from this program have gone onto prosperous careers in areas such as Human Resources, Organizational Development, Change Management, and Consulting.

All Ivy Environmental and Sustainable Development Career Fair 2014
Co-hosted with the Earth Institute at Columbia University
Date: Friday, February 28th

The eight Ivy League schools have teamed up again this year to provide representatives from public agencies, consulting firms, nonprofit organizations and business and industry an opportunity to connect with top undergraduate and graduate students.




12th Annual Metro NY Charter School Career Fair

Location: Teachers College, Columbia University

Come and meet representatives from top Charter Schools across the Tri-State area. Have the opportunity to submit your resume for review and speak with potential employers attending the event. Don't let this opportunity pass you by, get your job search underway with this career fair.

PreK-12 Education Career Fair 2014
Hosted by Teachers College Career Services

Date: Wednesday, March 5th
Time: 1:00-5:00PM
Location: Alfred Lerner Auditorium, 115th Street and Broadway

Career Services' Education Career Fair is an on-site networking opportunity enabling you to meet with employers looking to hire students, recent graduates, and experience practitioners from a variety of industries within the field of education. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with employers from Educational Technology, Educational Publishing, For-Profit, Higher Education, International education Development, Museum Education, Not-For-Profit, and PreK-12. Professional dress is required. If you attend in jeans, you will not be granted admissions.

Student and alumni registration will open December 2013.

If you are an employer and would like to register for the 2014 PreK-12 Education Career Fair, registration opens November 2013.

The event is ONLY open to TC Students, TC Alumni, and Columbia Affiliates.

The Spring Carer Fair, co-hosted by the Columbia Center for Career Education, Teachers College Career Services, CU School of Social Work, CU School of International and Public Affairs, and Barnard College Office of Career Development, allows students and alumni to explore a wide variety of career fields, employers, and types of employment in the not-for-profit/public service and for profit sectors.

Media Networking Night 2014

Interested in a career in the Media Industry? Not sure what you want to do? Media Networking Night is the perfect opportunity for students to network with representatives from a wide variety of disciplines within the Media Industry.
