Handbook for Current Ph.D. Students

Welcome to the Doctoral Program in Counseling Psychology at Teachers College!  We are pleased that you have decided to pursue your graduate studies here.

The PhD Handbook  will offer you critical information to facilitate a smooth entry in and through the Program. Please refer to this handbook for course requirements, Program procedures, and other questions related to the Program. It is important that you keep a copy of the Handbook that reflects the year you entered the Program. Remember to always double check information that is unclear to you with your Advisor or the Counseling Psychology Program office. You should always double check critical dates (e.g., Program Comprehensive Exam) with the Counseling Psychology Program office. Please note that while this handbook serves as your guide, changes in the College may affect the availability of certain course offerings. The handbook will be modified periodically in an attempt to incorporate any changes necessitated by the University, the College, APA, the Department, or Program Faculty and is subject to change at the discretion of the faculty.

Sincerely,

The Counseling Psychology Program Faculty
