Description:
Thanks to the
Abbott v. Burke case, 32 urban school districts in New Jersey have been the beneficiaries of extensive comprehensive reforms including high quality preschool, improved facilities, and supplemental programs for high-poverty students. What has been its impact on student success? How did these efforts change the landscape for educational opportunity for the disadvantaged children living in these districts? How have current constraints on funding affected the continuation of these reforms?
