Curriculum Vita

I am a fourth year Counseling Psychology doctoral student and currently on internship at the Manhattan VA. I am originally from Iowa and while I sometimes miss the quiet, I definitely enjoy the NYC lifestyle. I graduated with my master's in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kansas in 2010 (RockChalk!) and earned my bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Marquette University in 2008.  My research interests include LGB parenting and families, minority stress, stigma, marginalization, and intersections of marginalized identities.  Additionally, I am developing an Affiliate Stigma Measure for my dissertation project.  When I am not working on research tasks or seeing clients, I enjoy running with my dog, hanging out with friends, and finding new places to eat!
