About the Current Team

Sarah Arango

I am a first year student in the Ed.M. in Psychological Counseling program. I received my B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Women and Gender studies from George Mason University. Prior to moving to New York City, I lived in Colombia, The Netherlands, Cyprus and Washington, D.C.

My professional experience has primarily focused on working with gender nonconforming children and their families and underserved youth.

My research interests include the intersectionality of various identities, intersections of regional and ethnic identities (including Third Culture Kids and Adults), and the effects of gender norms and media on youth. In my free time I enjoy traveling to new countries, dancing salsa, and watching documentaries about space and world cultures.
