Amy Proulx is the Office Assistant for the Cahn Fellows Program.  Currently, Amy is pursuing her masters in the TESOL K-12 program at Teachers College, Columbia University. For the past three years, Amy has worked with middle school students from low-income, ethnically diverse families (Boston Public Schools) and newly immigrated adults (ESL Community Program), to middle-class high school and university students in Italy and China.

At Unlocking Potential, a startup non-profit school turnaround management organization, she focused on student achievement from an administrator role by recruiting teachers and conducting home visits of incoming students. Amy formerly interned with Excel Academy Charter School, a successful urban charter middle school in East Boston, MA, where she primarily led and managed Excel’s student recruitment and enrollment efforts. Amy earned her BA in American Studies and English from Skidmore College.
