Danielle Giunta graduated from Bank Street College of Education's Early Childhood Leadership Program and has been principal at P.S. 154 in Flushing, Queens since 2005. She is a creative, enthusiastic and organized educator with a passion for curriculum, building community and developing teacher leaders. The school's vision is dedicated to ensuring that every child is provided with academic rigor in a standards based, thinking curricula. Students come to school every day with clear expectations for excellence, and are encouraged to become educational risk-takers in their nurturing classroom environments. The P.S. 154Q community is committed to providing engaging, instructional challenges that support our children on their journey towards meeting global challenges of the new millennia. In the 2010-2011 school year, Danielle extended her professional resume to include adjunct instructor in the Leadership Program at CUNY Queens College as well as a mentor principal in collaboration with the New York City Leadership Academy.
