Frank L. DeSario graduated from Wagner College '82. He has been Principal of P.S. 60 in
Woodhaven, Queens since 2004. Under his leadership, P.S. 60 has been rated an A school for the
past three years by the New York City Department of Education. He has prided himself on teaching
teachers to take leadership roles, while serving the Woodhaven school community. He has a
working relationship with St. John's University School of Education, where he has consistently
recruited excellent teachers. He has received the Outstanding Educator Award in 2008 from St.
John's. He continues to work with outside entities, such as The New York Academy of Public Education,
where he currently serves on the Board of Directors as President-Elect. His school was
awarded the High-Performing/Gap Closing School in 2004-05 by the New York State Department
of Education.
