Robin Pitts, three year participant in the Principal’s Leadership Center at Harvard University and founding Principal of The High School of Sports Management, is no stranger to public education.

In her two decades as teacher, grade advisor, college counselor, Assistant Principal, and Principal, she embodies the philosophy that access and equity are the great equalizers in public school education.

Many of her students entered the high school ranks without a vision for an academic career extending to a major college or university.  However, through her persistent efforts and leadership, her students and staff have broadened their vistas to pursue academic excellence as well as select colleges and careers in sport management, business and entertainment industries.

Robin Pitts was one of the 2009 recipients of the CSA Principal’s Incentive Bonus; and, along with her staff, recognized by several Coney Island and Bensonhurst community groups for her distinguished work with youth in community service projects.
