Professor Xie Weihe, Vice-president of Tsinghua University, will be visiting TC for about one week around mid-February, 2007.  Professor Xie is widely recognized as an authority in education research in China, particularly in the sociological analysis of higher education and education equity. He will give a talk on "Reform and Innovative Construction of the Structure of China's Higher Education" at Teachers College on Feb. 13, 2007.  The event is jointly sponsored by the Center on Chinese Education and the National Center for the Study of Privatization in Education.
