Title: Educating Migrant Students in China
Description: Mr. He Huang is
invited by the U.S. Department of State and will visit Teachers College during
April 23-24, 2007. He will share his experiences of involving in migrant
education in China.
Mr. Huang is a principal of one of the first migrant schools in China.
His school is called Xing Zhi School which
is located in Daxing District in Beijing.
The school is named after Mr. Xingzhi Tao, a famous educator and also a renowned
pioneer in modern education reform in China. Mr. Huang is committed to
transforming Chinese approaches to schooling while providing the children of
migrants with a quality education. In 2006, there are more than 0.37 million
migrant students in Beijing.
More researchers and people are concerned with the equity, equality, and
quality of migrant education in China.

by Mr. Huang.
