Title: Education for Life, for Survival and for Living
Description: Dr. Luo Chongmin will visit Teachers College with a delegation from the
Department of Education, Yunnan Province, China and representatives of
China Education Initiatives on 10/27. Dr. Luo will speech the value of
modern education and analyze the issues of education equity and quality
in developing areas in China by sharing his experiences in Yunnan.

Since Dr. Luo Chongmin ends up his leadership as the Director General
of Department of Education, Yunnan Province, China, he has adopted a
series of education reform policies into the local education
development. Especially he appeals the "Triple Values of Education for
Life, Survival and Living". His new basic education model for 13 years
and policies to reduce the economic burden of K-12 school students have
raised up many arguments in Yunnan.
