Visit of Center Representatives to China, Summer 2005

Professor Mun Tsang (Director, Center on Chinese Education) and Dr. Wallace Wang (Associate Director for Training, Center on Chinese Education) visited Fujian Province in July-August, 2005.  To establish education relationship with Fujian Province, Tsang and Wang met leaders and other representatives from Xiamen University, Fujian Normal University, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Minjian University, Fuzhou Vocational-Technical College, Fujian Department of Education, Fuzhou Bureau of Education, and Fuzhou Municipal People's Government. They discussed working together on a number of collaborative projects in education.

Professor Tsang visited Yunnan Province in June-July, 2005 to launch a new education project, conduct research, and develop academic ties.  He met senior administrators and faculty from Yunnan Normal University, Yunnan University, and Kunming University of Science and Technology.  He also had meetings with officials from the Yunnan People's Congress, Yunnan Department of Education, Kunming Bureau of Education, and Yunnan Education Society.

Professor Tsang also visited Peking University, Beijing Normal University, and East China Normal Universities to strengthen academic ties between these Chinese institutions and Teachers College Columbia University.
