Current News

22 female minority students received scholarships to attend Yunnan Normal University

Twenty-two female minority students from poor rural background in Yunnan Province are attending college at Yunnan Normal University. They receive the Dr. Tsai Yen-Ping Scholarships which fully cover the costs of tuition, room and board, and school supplies for their entire college education. Upon their graduation, they are expected to return to their hometown to serve as secondary-school teachers. This scholarship program was developed by the Center on Chinese Education, Teachers College Columbia University and implemented by Yunnan Education Society. They are listed in the following table.
