A New Collaborative MA Program Offered by Teachers College and Peking University
Teachers College, Columbia University and the Graduate School of Education, Peking University have just set up a new collaborative MA program, with the first cohort of students to enroll in Fall 2007. This is a two-year program in which students spend the first year of studies at Peking University and the second year at Teachers College. At the completion of the program, students will receive an MA degree from Teachers College and a certificate from Peking University. The collaborative effort aims to offer a high-quality academic experience through which students acquire a solid understanding of important issues and practices of American education and Chinese education, especially in the area of education management and policy. Students receive instruction and advisement from the renowned faculties of both institutions.
Applications for enrollment in Fall 2007 are due on 31 December, 2006 and should be sent to Room 101, Graduate School of Education (PKU-TC Program), Peking University, Beijing 100871, People's Republic of China. A complete application should include: (1) a completed application form from Teachers College, (2) a resume; (3) official undergraduate transcripts, (4) TOEFL or IELTS score, (5) a personal statement, (6) 2-3 recommendation letters, and (7) application fee.
