Professor Wang Shanmai, President of the Economics and Education
Association in China, visited Teachers College for about one
week in November, 2007. Professor Wang is widely recognized as an
authority in education research in China, particularly in economics
and education. He adopts the economic theories and tools in research
and makes lots of contribution to this field in China. His research
focuses on five areas: the relationship between education and
economy, educational resource distribution, education reform,
education finance & mechanism, and education cost & efficiency.
Professor Wang provided a presentation during the international
education week at Teachers College. Professor Wang shared his research
