Research Project Funded by the Ford Foundation
The Center on Chinese Education acknowledges
the funding from the Ford Foundation to support the research project “improving
compulsory education for children of migrants in China”.
The project is initiated by the Center on Chinese and consists of researchers
from TeachersCollegeColumbiaUniversity, BeijingNormalUniversity, PekingUniversity, and SouthChinaNormalUniversity. It
consists of case studies of issues of quality and financing of compulsory
education for migrants’ children in Beijing, Kunming, and Guangzhou.
