The Tenth Advanced Seminar on Education Leadership was held at Teachers College
The tenth Advanced Seminar on Education Leadership was held at Teachers College Columbia University on September 24th to 28th, 2011.
This seminar was co-organized by the National Council of Secondary & Primary Schools, Chinese Association for Non-Government Education and Center on Chinese Education, Teachers College, Columbia University. In total, there are 37 school leaders (presidents or their representatives) of private schools in China, including kindergarten school leaders, primary school leaders and middle school leaders. They came from Xi'an, Sichuan, Hunan, Hubei and other cities or provinces of China.
Similar to previous seminars, the major theme of the seminar focused on effective education leadership and educational reform, especially in the context of private school. This time it involves 5 presentations and discussion at Teachers College. The speakers shared their experiences and research in U.S's early childhood education and training, teacher professional development and leadership, the development of critical thinking and program solving skills, etc.
