TC Students Help Some of City’s Newest Residents Compete in a New School and a New Country

On the first Saturday morning in May at the TC EdZone offices in Theresa Towers, 25 high school students babbled giddily with each other, just like any other group of teens.

However, upon listening more closely, their conversations consisted mostly of French and Spanish phrases interspersed with some English vocabulary. The children hail primarily from Latin America and Africa, with several having been in the United States for less than a year.
