Service Learning Graduate Assistants

Meghan Chidsey

Hi, my name is Meghan! I am a coordinator for the Service Learning program this year being implemented in several elementary schools throughout Harlem. A 3rd year Anthropology and Education Ph.D. student at Teachers College, I was born and raised in New Jersey. I received my Bachelor of Architecture at the University of Notre Dame where I was also an Anthropology major before I completed my Master of Education at the University of Pennsylvania while teaching 11th grade Chemistry in a West Philadelphia high school for Teach for America. During this time, I also participated in a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship to Ethiopia where I researched cross-cultural education. Having a love of travel, I recently returned from my second trip to North India, where I studied Hindi and worked on some preliminary dissertation research. My personal interests include art, sports, comedy, and photography. I am very excited at the opportunity to impact a new community of young learners this year!
