Tom Honore
Program Assistant

Tom Honore is originally from Haiti. Today he resides in the Bronx. Tom attended August Martin high school in Queens where his favorite subject was social studies. Tom currently attends Monroe College in the Bronx where he majors in Business Management. In his spare time Tom enjoys spending time with family and friends. He tries to unwind during his free time and finds that a good X Box game can usually do the trick!

Tom's favorite thing about after-school is seeing all the creativity that is showcased in the program; Tom believes the after-school environment enables youth to expand their minds while promoting new ways of thinking. You can contact Tom at Nhonore@hcz.org

Kira Cohen-Milo
Health Education

Kira Cohen-Milo was born and partially raised in Northwest Ohio before moving to South Georgia during elementary school, where she stayed until her early twenties after completing a degree program in biology at University of Georgia. Before moving to New York last Fall to attend a Masters Program in Nutrition and Public Health at Teachers College she had been living in The San Francisco Bay Area where she worked extensively in local farmers markets, health systems, and garden education.

Kira is excited to return to PS 154 this year albeit in a different capacity. The previous academic year she worked with Ms. Wunsch's 2nd grade classroom as a Reading and Math Buddy through Teachers College during regular school hours. Although this is her first time working in the afterschool setting at Harriet Tubman Learning Center she is familiar with the Harlem Children's Zone as well as the programming, benefits, and necessity of afterschool programs from her pervious position as a Garden Enrichment Specialist for grades K-5 for an afterschool program in California. She's excited to work in a hands-on setting again with the opportunity to facilitate students' practical understanding and comprehension of food and health as a Health Literacy Specialist. Kira can be reached via email at:kat2142@tc.columbia.edu .
