Based on the work of the Hollingworth Science Camp and funded by The Hollingworth Center, the Hollingworth Science Outreach Program brings talent development opportunities to economically disadvantaged African-American and Latino children. Working with 200 children and their teachers at P.S. 36 in Region Ten, the focus of the program is to nurture the children's science develop through artistic, literary, and mathematical experiences. The activities presented are hands-on, challenging, and differentiated; and are closely articulated to the New York City curriculum. The Elementary grade teachers are afforded the  opportunity to observe an array of pedagogical strategies, team  teach with the The Hollingworth Center teachers, and incorporate materials provided by the project.
