Clinic Staff:

Jacqueline deasJacqueline Deas has been at Teachers College since 2005 and joined the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders as the Clinic Secretary in 2006.  Jackie assists the clinic staff in a variety of tasks including clinic scheduling and maintaining student and client records.  She is the proud grandmother of five, all boys!, and enjoys spending her time away from the clinic with them.

 

Work Study Students:

Phaik Jun Quah, B.A.  has been a work-study student at the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders since September 2011. She is currently a second-year student of the Speech and Language Pathology graduate program at Teachers College, Columbia University. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with Magna Cum Laude from CUNY Hunter College. Volunteering at a preschool for children with developmental delays during her undergraduate studies, she developed an interest in communication disorders among children with autism. She further developed an interest in communication differences and disabilities in bilingual/bicultural children as an instructor at a children’s learning center in Lower Manhattan, New York.  Jun’s special clinical interests are speech/language disorders in children with developmental disabilities, early intervention, and pediatric dysphagia.
