Professional Services

Infant Evaluation Clinic

Infants and young children may experience delayed or disordered development of language, speech, eating and other skills, such as brushing teeth and controlling saliva. These skills emerge gradually from birth to three years old in predictable patterns and sequences. This service provides comprehensive assessments of these behaviors to children, their families and their therapy providers. The aims of the assessments are to:

  • To describe the child's functional strengths and problems in these developing skills;
  • To determine the contributing causes for the problems; and
  • To recommend corrective treatments and home management strategies.

Family members and other caregivers are invited to attend the clinics to discuss their concerns and the suggested treatment options.
