This presentation described the word being done through the O & O Center of Teachers College, Columbia and a school for students with special needs in Oaxaca, Mexico. The school is a small with 53 students ranging in age from 5 to 26 who have "mental discapabilidades". Consultation has been provided to implement evaluation training, vocational development and enhanced curriculum in a variety of areas. The session emphasized the importance of collaboration between universities and schools and the global benefits from sharing ideas, building resource capacities and developing ongoing opportunities for training and internships.
