Rebecca Kastl graduated cum laude from Smith College. She subsequently taught English in the Czech Republic for a year. Her interest in language and linguistics brought her to Teachers College to study Speech and Language Pathology. She speaks French, Russian, and Czech, and is presently learning Spanish. She is lab manager of the Speech Production and Perception Lab and has been involved in research with a trilingual aphasic. Outside of school, Rebecca enjoys playing piano, knitting, and staying active with yoga, running, and biking. She is originally from New Orleans, LA.
