Welcome to the Swallowing, Voice and Neuroimaging (SVN) Laboratory at Teachers College, Columbia University!

The SVN laboratory is the newest clinical research laboratory of the Speech-Language Pathology program within the Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University. 

SVNL is under the direction of Professor Georgia Malandraki.

Equipment & Affiliations

Our laboratory houses four fully-equipped fMRI analysis workstations, voice and respiratory physiology recording and analysis equipment and multiple swallowing diagnostic and intervention tools, including a FEES swallowing station.

The SVN lab is affiliated with the Edward D. Mysak Clinic for Communication Disorders (EDMCCD), the Columbia University Medical Center, and the University Hospital “Evangelismos” in Athens, Greece.
