Welcome to the Swallowing, Voice and Neuroimaging (SVN) Laboratory at Teachers College, Columbia University!

Equipment & Affiliations

The SVN laboratory is the newest clinical research laboratory of the Speech-Language Pathology program within the Department of Biobehavioral Sciences at Teachers College, Columbia University.

SVNL is under the direction of Professor Georgia Malandraki


Our laboratory houses cutting-edge technology and leads evidence-based clinical research and clinical practice. The SVN Laboratory operates in partnership with the Dysphagia Research Clinic.


Imaging applications are used to enhance our understanding of swallowing physiology and neurophysiology and help us determine treatment outcomes
