II. Summary: I will teach you how to use the new Epson Expression 1680 scanner that is
on a PC in the 242 HM lab. This scanner uses the software Adobe Photoshop 7 along
with Silver Fast and it scans with perfection.
III. Step by Step
Instructions:
1.) Place your picture or document face
down on the scanner.
2.) Open Adobe Photoshop 7 (under
programs).
3.) Once Adobe Photoshop is open, go to
“file”---“import”---“WIA-Epson
Exp1680.”

4.) Epson Expression will open and a “Scan
Pilot” will pop up on the left side of the screen.

5.) The buttons on the “Scan Pilot” are
the buttons you will use to alter your image after you’ve saved it.
6.) If you place the cursor over the
button (on the Scan Pilot) that you want to use, a box will pop up
explaining
what the button means.
7.) After you pre-scan and decide that the
image is what you want, finalize the scan and save it.
8.) To save, go to “file”---“save
as”---and save the file with the name and location
that you
choose.
9.) After the scan is finished, you can use the Scan Pilot to alter the image. If you make any changes to the
scanned image, make sure to save
it again.
10.) To print, go to
“file”---“print”---and your image will print.
