Presentation: This presentation will show you the TC iTunes U site and its unique selection of lectures, events and interviews spanning the past five years. You will see the ITunes U @ TC store front in detail and get information on how you will be able to download an assortment of audio, video and PDF onto your iPod.

11:30am -12:30pm ---- SAKAI [Sheila Kieran-Greenbush]

Sakai is a course management software that provides the ClassWeb functions and more. For this session, the instructor is an adjunct Asst. Professor from CCT who has been using ClassWeb since ClassWeb became available. She has also been testing and using Sakai since it was first available. You will be introduced Sakai and then have a chance build a course in Sakai.

1:00pm - 3:00pm ---- Podcasting with iTunesU@TC (Private use -- hands-on) [Eduardo Ruiz]

Learn how to plan,produce and publish an audio podcast to iTunesU @TC. Learn about the different types of video podcasting (video clips and demonstrations, PowerPoint slide conversions, and image slide shows). Learn how to request iTunes U access and upload podcasts for distribution to students.

THURSDAY, JUNE 12

10:15 am -12-30pm ---- Webconferencing with Adobe Connect - [George Schuessler]

Learn how to interact at a distance using web conferencing with video, audio, chat, whiteboard sharing, discussions, web links, notes, and more. Learn how to host a meeting , deliver and share a PowerPoint presentation, record a live event, and have it available for people to view at later times. The new version of Adobe Connect also includes breakout meeting rooms, teleconferencing using phones for better sound quality, and a variety of options for storing presentations and meetings offline for later replay.

1:00pm - 3:00pm ---TC Educator in Second Life - [Selen Turkay]

Hands on session: Learn how to get around and communicate in Second Life

Learn how to login in Second Llife and lead your avatar to go around through the TC island (TC Educator). Walk through the variety of the TC buildings, have a meeting at the TC café, visit the amphitheater and watch the video presentations, see the virtual exhibitions in the the Macy gallery and go to the classrooms in case you may want to teach there. Learn how to make your avatar, walk , sit down and stand up, dance, fly, talk, dance and express emotions. Interact with the objects around your avatar, master the use of the Map and Teleport to different locations .Learn how to change the light in your environment, create a landmark and use the inventory.
