SMARTBOARD PURCHASE

ACS is proud to announce the purchase of 5 new SMART Boards for the classrooms.

These boards are touch-sensitive and allow for a great deal of interactions. Computer applications can be directly controlled using just the board connected directly to a computer and a projector. Notes can be written on the board, saved and shared at a later time.

Need to have your files available in the room for your presentations or meetings?

You can:

1) send the files to yourself and retrieve it using the web version of Outlook

2) upload the files onto the MYFILE section of ClassWeb if you are teaching a course

PHP FILE SHARING WARNINGS

Engaging in file sharing activity on the internet through peer-to peer software (P2P) is strictly forbidden at TC.

This involves downloading music, movies and all sort of copyrighted material.

The risks involved are several:

Besides the illegal distribution of audio and visual material, such activity may compromise your computer and that of others. File-sharing software may carry malware, spyware and viruses, that may invade the privacy of your computer system .

This unwanted software may reside in your computer system even after you have deleted the shared file and can be very difficult to be removed. Your computer will be vulnerable to attacks and you may provide a potential access point to those who want to compromise a system. You may inadvertently share files that are private
