Move Moodle Content to Canvas

Create a backup file for your course in Moodle

    In your Moodle course, scroll down to the Administration section and click Backup

    Take the check OFF of Include Enrolled Users
Backup settings
     Click Jump to final step                          ‌

     When Backup is complete, click ContinueBackup complete

     Scroll down and find the name of the backup file (it should be at the top of the list) and click DownloadBackup download

     Save the downloaded file

 Import backup from Moodle into Canvas

     In Canvas, enter into the course.  Click on Settings                                                      Canvas settings

     Select Import Content into this Course

Import content

     Under Impor‌t Content select Content Type - Moodle 1.9/2.x; browse to the Moodle downloaded file; choose 'All content' or 'Select specific content'. Click Import

     The Current Jobs sections displays the status of your import.  Running reports displays a menu bar with the time remaining to complete the import.  If you chose ot select specific content to your course, the next job will require you to click Waiting for select (b.) once Running (a.) job is done

Viewing importing jobs

     View the content for any completed imports by accessing the course in the Dashboard
