Navigation & Administration Panels

Moodle has two important panels. The Navigation Panel and the Administration Panels.

The Navigation Panel

Under the Navigation panel you can view your profile and access your courses. Click on the arrow to expand each of the heading menu. 
My Courses

The Administration Panel

The Administration panel contains information you can change. When you click on the arrow to expand "Course Administration", you can change the format of your course, add participants to your course, make a copy of your course and migrate to another course and configure your gradebook.

Course Administration
The "Switch role to" under the Setting panel allows you to view the course as a student, or guest. Click on the arrow to expand the menu and click on the desired role.
Switch Role
Whenever you want to switch back to your role as an instructor. You go back to "Switch role to" and click on "Return to my normal role"

Alternatively, Moodle will show the role on the upper right coner of the screen and you can click on the link that says "Return to my normal role".
