Earn Continuing Education Units
Continuing Education Units (CEU) and Professional Development Hours (PDH)Continuing Education Unit's (CEU) are currency that measures a person's participation in a formal, non-credit continuing education program, such as a workshop, seminar, tutorial, or self-study course. Programs approved by TC awarding CEUs meet strict requirements for course exercises, assessments, and evaluations.
CEU's are often used to 'renew, update, or maintain' certification in professional occupations such as (Teachers, Nurses, Engineers, etc). Teachers in various states (please see your state Department of Education's requirements) must accrue a certain number of Professional Development Hours (PDH's) or Continuing Education Units (CEU's) to do this.
Often CEU's can cost upwards of $1500 per unit. In contrast, the cost of the entire conference for two days is only $300.
By attending both days of the GLA conference from April 9-10, you can earn 2 CEU's.
Please do not hesitate to contact Alison directly if you have any further questions.
We urge you to investigate your state requirements on CEU's.
