The Art & Craft of Poetry in Social-Emotional Learning

Six-session workshop series @ TC

By reading, discussing, and writing poetry as well as learning about the real-life adversity of poets, both historical and contemporary, students gain greater access to their own emotional landscape. This six-session series seeks to consider the often untapped resource of the imagination as a fantastic way to increase literacy skills, student voice, and social-emotional growth while simultaneously learning about and encouraging a focus on poetry. Designed especially for educators of English Language Learners or Students with Disabilities, Social Workers, and Guidance Counselors.

Designed especially for: ELL & Special Education Teachers, Guidance Counselors, and Social Workers
