Academic Attire

Academic Attire

Academic Attire is required to participate in Convocation and is different for Masters and Doctoral candidates.

All degree recipients from Columbia University and its affiliated institutions wear a cap and gown.

Doctoral recipients also wear a hood indicating the degree earned. Ladies please note that it is best to wear a blouse that has buttons for easy attachment of the hoods.
