Recent scholarship about the history of historically Black colleges

and universities (HBCUs) and students’ demands for change across

educational and political spaces. Panelists will discuss HBCUs as

sites of student activism and protest in mid-twentieth century America

from varied institutional, group, and gendered perspectives.
