Application Guidelines and Required Documents

The faculty of the Education Policy Program collectively make admissions decisions for our Program. We are committed to a holistic review of applicants’ materials and creating a diverse and inclusive entering class and learning environment. The Statement of Purpose is particularly important. We strongly recommend that candidates clearly lay out their intellectual and policy interests and discuss why our program is a good fit for them and which Program faculty they would particularly like to work with. While we ask for GRE scores, they are not the decisive criterion and we do not have any particular cut-off point. Regarding letters of recommendation, we strongly recommend that two of them be from people who can speak to your academic interests and strengths.
