While about one-third of Teachers College students are working toward or developing their teaching career, the TC student community pursues careers in a wide range of fields including educational policy, educational administration and leadership, arts administration, technology, psychology, social and behavioral sciences, health, communications and international and comparative education.
Agnes Freulich:
M.A., Art and Art Education
While pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Art and Art Education, Agnes Freulich has been amazed by the wealth of resources and opportunities for intellectual exchange at TC. Freulich actually met Phillip Jackson, "whose books I've been reading throughout school, and then seeing Jerome Bruner, one of the most influential psychologists of the 20th century, walking in the hallways is just inspiring to me."
Agnes believes that TC is helping shape her career by providing academic and personal experiences that make her feel confident that she'll be successful in her career. Through the vast system of TC support services, career development, and networking, Agnes constantly receives e-mails for internship or job openings at NY museums or schools in the community. It all adds up to the reason why she chose TC – to go to the best school in the best city in the country.
