Marcia E. Vetrocq is a visual arts specialist, editor, and educator. She has published extensively on modern and contemporary art and institutional practices, and was an editor at the magazines Art in America (editor-in-chief 2008–11) and Art + Auction. She was a professor of fine arts and arts administration at the University of New Orleans for fifteen years and subsequently has served as adjunct graduate faculty at Montclair State University, Parsons The New School for Design, and New York University. She holds degrees in art history from Princeton University and Stanford University, where she received a PhD. Recent publications have focused on the Venice Biennale, collaborative practice and alternative spaces in 1970s New York, and performative drawing.
