Q. As a doctoral student can I apply for the grant-in-aid?
A. Grant-in-aid is designed to assist doctoral students with tuition, dissertation advisement and/or defense fee during the last two semesters of work. Doctoral students may be awarded to those who have accumulated a significant amount of student loan debt while at Teachers College and have previously received little or no scholarship assistance from Teachers College, including tuition exemption.
Q. How do I apply for the Grant-in-aid?
A. You can visit the Office of Financial Aid at 138 Horace Mann and request for a Grant-in-Aid Application or you may download the application at http://www.tc.columbia.edu/i/a/1018_Grantinaidapplication1.pdf
Q. As an International Doctoral Student can I apply for the Grant-in-Aid?
A. Yes. You may visit the Office of Financial Aid at 138 Horace Man and request for a Grant-in-Aid Supplementary Form or you may download the application at http://www.tc.columbia.edu/i/a/1019_Grant-in-AidSuppleApp.pdf
Q. Would a written request suffice to apply for the Grant-in-Aid?
A. No, students applying for the Grant-in-Aid must complete the Grant-in-Aid application.
