If you are awarded a scholarship or federal student aid, you will receive an official award letter notification from the Office of Financial Aid. Please keep in mind that you will receive two separate award letters, as the program goes over two academic years.

If you are eligible for federal financial aid and you have satisfied your requirements, the funds you have accepted will be applied to your account as payment(s). That being said, in the Summer 1 term, you may receive a refund, which you will need to save to assist you with the payments for the subsequent semesters.

Intensive Summer Teacher Education Programs (INSTEP)
This INSTEP program is a summer program. Students usually attend only for summer sessions, but can also attend for fall and spring terms in between, for 2-3 consecutive summers.

Summer is the last term of each academic year (e.g. Fall 2012 is the first term of the 2012-2013 aid year, Spring 2013 is the second, and Summer 2013 is the final), so the appropriate FAFSA must be completed by June 30th. For students coming in the Summer 2013 term, the 2012-2013 FAFSA must be completed. The Teachers College Federal School Code is G03979; this code must be included on the FAFSA. Also note that students must be enrolled in at least six credits (or the equivalent) to be eligible for federal aid.

Students must also complete the TC Scholarship Application to be eligible for any institutional aid. The 2012-2013 TC Scholarship Application is no longer available online. If you have not completed the application, please contact our office.

The tuition rate changes each academic year.  Please refer to our Cost of Attendance page for more information on it.  You can also refer to the Student Accounts page for a full list of tuition and fees.

Note:
1st year students receive 4 points in INSTEP scholarship.
2nd year students receive 2 points in INSTEP scholarship.
