Diversity in Education (HBCU) Scholarship

Teachers College (TC) has created a unique opportunity for graduates of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as part of our dedication to recruiting, training, and supporting excellence in teacher education to achieve social and education equity in America. This award will provide full tuition scholarships to up to three graduates from HBCUs who best demonstrate an outstanding commitment to teacher education in urban areas. Applicants must plan to enroll in one of TC's master's teaching certification programs.

Those interested in applying for the Diversity in Education (HBCU) Scholarship must submit a fellowship personal statement (in addition to the statement of purpose one submits with their TC Application for Admission). Applicants must also submit the Diversity in Education (HBCU) Scholarship Interest Form. Please read through the Interest Form carefully and make sure that you meet the stated requirements.
These two items must be submitted to enrollmentservices@tc.columbia.edu by February 28, 2014.

Please note: students must successfully complete and submit their application for admission to Teachers College before they may apply for the Diversity in Education (HBCU) Scholarship.
