Peter Greeman ScholarshipThe Peter Greeman Scholarship will be granted to financially qualified students who are seeking to obtain a degree in education (with state teacher certification) with a demonstrated interest in studying urban and minority education and plans to pursue a teaching position in urban settings, particularly in New York City public schools. Greeman recipients are selected by a faculty committee at Teachers College and, if awarded, receive a scholarship that will pay a maximum of 36 credits* (up to 18 per academic school year). Upon graduation, recipients must commit to teaching in a New York City public school, or similar urban school district in the New York metropolitan area for at least two years.
*An additional 12-18 credits will be considered for students pursuing Bilingual and/or Special Education degrees/certification or for students registering for student teaching/supervised fieldwork.

Please note: students must successfully complete and submit their application for admission to Teachers College before they may apply for the Peter Greeman Scholarship.
