WELCOME TO TEACHERS COLLEGE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID!
For many students, the availability of financial aid can greatly affect their decision to pursue an advanced degree in higher education. For this reason, the Teachers College Office of Financial Aid is available to assist students in obtaining the resources needed to achieve their educational and professional goals. We are aware that paying for your education may be one of the biggest challenges you encounter as a student and our mission at the college is to help guide you through the steps necessary for you to become a successful graduate.
In accordance with these objectives, while at the institution, Teachers College students will have access to a variety of different types of financial aid. From institutional scholarships and grants, to federal student aid, several possibilities exist for the express purpose of helping a student pay their (on and off-campus) education-related expenses. We encourage students to work independently, as well as collaboratively with our office, to explore these many options. Particularly now, as you work towards advancing yourself academically and professionally, it is essential that you understand the opportunities and resources that are available to you, as well as the associated responsibilities.
The decision to apply for any form of financial aid should be made only with a complete understanding of the processes, requirements, benefits, and subsequent accountabilities. The Office of Financial Aid will provide counseling and constant communication aimed at providing you with the clarity needed to remain informed and comfortable in making your own financial decisions. We hope that the information provided here will be a valuable resource as you work to make sense of your own educational and professional journey.
We wish you the best of luck in preparing for and completing your graduate education!
