Become a Registered Dietitian

Do you want to become a registered dietitian (R.D.)?

If the answer is YES, there are THREE STEPS you must fulfill:

1. Successful completion of a series of courses called the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) approved by The American Dietetic Association. These courses make you eligible to apply to a Dietetic Internship Program.

2. Successful completion of an American Dietetic Association-approved Dietetic Internship Program. This program consists of 900 or more hours of supervised practice in the nutrition field.

3. Successful completion of the Dietetic Registration Exam administered by The American Dietetic Association.
