On WNYC, Dolores Perin Addresses Illiterarcy in the Public Schools

member Dolores Perin was a recent guest on The Brian Lehrer Show (WNYC), where
she discussed the difficulties that many adolescents in New York City public
schools have in learning to read. Pointing out that reading difficulties loom
larger the older a child becomes, Perin argued that struggling
readers—especially adolescents—need strategic, individualized and compassionate
assistance.
