Application to Dietetic Internship Program

• Application
To visit DICAS, visit https://portal.dicas.org
The fee to use DICAS is $40.00 for the first application submitted, and $20.00 for each additional application.

• References
When completing the application, all applicants must include the name and contact information (specifically email address) for all 3 references. This will trigger an email message requesting completion of a reference form. The form will be completed online.
• Official Transcripts
Applicants will be asked to download and fill out a transcript request form, which applicants should then send to the registrar of each institution. The registrar will send the official transcripts directly to DICAS.
Upon acceptance to the TC DI, all interns MUST submit a hard copy of their official undergraduate transcript before the internship orientation.

• Verification Statement
An official Verification Statement of completion of the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) with original signatures OR Declaration of Intent to complete academic requirements, also with original signatures, is required. Once you submit the online DICAS application, the DPD Director will be notified and a Verification Statement or Declaration of Intent will be automatically processed. Applicants will receive 2 hard copies, while the DPD Director will verify online that the applicant has received them.

• Personal Statement
The DICAS application requires completion of a 1,000-word personal statement. Questions to be addressed include:
o Why do you want to enter the dietetics profession?
o What are some experiences that have helped to prepare you for your career?
o What are your short and long term goals?
o Why do you want to attend the Teachers College DI?
o What are some experiences that have helped to prepare you for your career?
o What are your short and long term goals?
o Why do you want to attend the Teachers College DI?
• Digital Matching
Applicants must also register online at D&D Digital for computer matching and select dietetic internship priority choices by 11:59pm Central Time on February 15th. There is a $50.00 computer matching fee. http://www.dnddigital.com/
