There are several new conference features.

- The First Annual #HipHopEd Meetup Celebration – including a Special Celebration of Professor Christopher Emdin's Favorable Tenure Vote! (Saturday)
- Celebrating the Tenth Anniversary of the Research Group on Disparities in Health and The First Annual Get Together of the Alumni of the Research Group on Disparities in Health (Saturday)
