The Hollingworth Center
Narrative and Genre studies focus our attention on literacy and literature. Engaging in an author study of a writer, illustrator or writer/illustrator, we ask questions such as “What do authors do? How do books get published?” Or, exploring a specific genre we might ask, “What is poetry? Why do people enjoy poetry?”
Past studies include: Poetry, Tall Tales, Non-Fiction, Vera B. Williams, Kevin Henkes, Margret & H.A. Rey, Ezra Jack Keats, Jane Yolen, Gail Gibbons, Robert McCloskey, Beatrix Potter and Ludwig Bemelmans.
